How do I get to Bratislava?

We recommend to verify the possibility to fly directly either to Bratislava or to Vienna airport. Vienna airport is only 45 minutes away with buses going to Bratislava at least every hour.
1. VIENNA AIRPORT (VIE)
From Vienna Airport we recommend you to take a bus to Bratislava Bus Station. Informations about departures you can find here (scroll down and find international buses to Bratislava; most popular companies are Slovak Lines, Eurolines, Regiojet):

2. BRATISLAVA AIRPORT
Bratislava Airport is located in the eastern part of the capital city of Bratislava, approx. 10 km from the city center (5 km from the sport arena Elán).
How do I get from the Bratislava airport to the arena Elán?
From the airport take bus number 61 and get off at the bus stop Bajkalská (12 stops, 15 min.).

3. BUDAPEST AIRPORT
If you are travelling to the Budapest Airport we recommend you rent a car to get to Bratislava. GETTING TO THE VENUE

How can I get from the Bratislava Main Bus station Mlynské Nivy to the arena Elán?
There is a direct trolleybus number 205 from Bus station to bus stop Bajkalská (7 stops, 9 min.).
How can I get from the Central Railway Station Bratislava to the arena Elán?
Take bus number 61 from Central Railway station to Bajkalska (6 stops, 8 min.) or fisrt walk to Nám. Franza Liszta (5 min down from the station) and then take bus number 63 to Bajkalska (4 stops, 7 min.).

PARKING
Where can I park near the arena Elán?
For those coming by car there are a few possibilities to park nearby. It is however NOT POSSIBLE to park directly at the venue. Your best option is to park in one of the parking lots /see the map above/ or the shopping center Polus City Center (parking D). It is free for the first 3 hours and completely free at the weekends.
Your second option is on the Trnavská Street behind the ŠH Mladosť (parking A, 4 EUR/day) or on the small parking lot next to the arena Pasienky (parking B). Parking is available on the Bajkalská Street on the footpath opposite the Tri veže (parking C).

DORMITORY ACCOMODATION
For those with limited budget there will be cheap accomodation during the Convocation on a mattress 
🙂 Bring your own sleeping bag or thicker blanket and an air mattress. You need to BOOK YOUR DORMITORY ACCOMODATION in advance. Great way to make friends from different nations!
